Which One of Us
One of us got our hair cut, styled, and did up last night.
One of us didn’t.
Can you tell?
If you need another hint, have a look at the picture below for a clue…
I’m tired of my regular style and got my stylist to shag it up and give me some bangs. LOVE it. I was so worried I’d have trouble finding a good stylist in my new city. But my girl Michaela rocks it out and is the best stylist I’ve had since living in Philly.
<——–lucky girl
Anyway. Enough self-love.
I got new sneaks, did I tell you guys? I got some bday $$ last month and used it to get some much-needed new sneakers. My last pair I’d had since 2006. No lie.
I’m an under-pronator and these shoes are super for that. Plus. Adidas is my boo. Forever.
New.
Old.
Yes.
I am aware that I am a FREAK about how good these shoes look after 4 years. But I don’t do trail running and I avoid puddles when running outdoors. The heels were totally compacted and offering me limited support for my busted out ankle that I still haven’t seen a doctor about (since I hurt it in June).
So…
There’s no food pics today, I just realized.
Woops.
What shoe brand are you loyal too?

Er
I Am Klassy
My Steelers Lost Again last night. They are so terrible right now. And I’m one f#cking pissed off fan.
If only I could spread the Steelers love.
Some people aren’t afraid.

Since I’m too f#cking bored to create a more interesting breakfast, and because I love this and don’t care if it bores people to see, I had eggwhites on a bagel. Again.
Shoulda had a side of cottage cheese….
Dinner = awesome. You’re jealous. I can tell.
- pesto veggie pizza on whole wheat crust
- spinach salad with dried apricots, peanuts, rasp/walnut dressing
adding on sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms
top it with goat cheese and sheep’s milk pecorino (if my husband would buy me the farm I want, this cheese woulda been Really Local)
Yes. I want a farm. Kinda. More like a big yard with a fence. That I don’t have to really farm, but can make me Feel like I’m farming. And I want goats. And chickens. And fun things like a llama or an alpaca.

I went to a state fair once, and they were selling alpacas. Do you even know what they cost? Like. $6000. Yeh. I’m making pizza at home for dinner b/c I’m too poor to eat out. And I’m thinking a $6000 Alpaca is a good idea.
I’d probably name her Tina.
pizza = baked
pizza = eaten
Even though it was minus 1000 degrees last night, Hubby and I ran our asses walked to the gym. I did cardio. I also saw the reflection of my legs in the gym window. And wanted to die. See my cottage cheese thoughts up above.
Breakfast yesterday. I know what you’re thinking. Ohmygod-Erin-ate-something-different.
Oatmeal. Which I hate. But if you glob enough maple peanut butter on something, it’s manageable.
And look at Santa. Is it me or is he kinda jonesin on my oats?
Hillybean says Good Morning Blog People. Here’s my mouth. Even this is adorable.
Hi. Duct tape on my chair. I have officially reached white trash status.
Oh. I.Am.Totally.Klassy.
Striking my best model pose to show off my new hair cut. Work it girl.
I need Botox.
Vegetarians, if you read this blog be warned that you should skip this next part unless you Love Tacos Like I Do and think eff it, pictures of beef tacos are Worth Seeing Because They Are Too F#cking Delicious.
For future reference, I love tacos more than most things on earth. They rank up there with recycling, judging people, and cursing.
Dinner 2 nights ago. Beef and black lentil tacos.
There, Veggies and Vegans, just ignore the beef and enjoy the lentils.
Look! Little Corn Envelopes (name that TV show and episode!)
$9 bottle of wine. Klassy.
Heck yes we use Subway napkins. Klassy.
And I don’t know which part of what’s below makes me the Klassiest? The fact that I’m eating 3-month-stale animal crackers with no legs or the fact that I’m eating 3-month-stale animal crackers with no legs AND drinking my third glass of $9 wine.
???
You can decide.
I have to go do Klassy things now.

When I Make Pasta
Here is my Breks. Not like you haven’t seen this eighty zillion times.
Even I’m bored of it.
In fact. Don’t even bother reading this part.

- Erin’s boring yet delicious-so-much-she-doesn’t-want-to-eat-anything-different eggwhites and cheese with hot sauce on a ww mini bagel
YESTERDAY segue.
I got home from work and kissed hubby and wrestled with my Hillybean.
Sunday I musta tweaked my hip flexor b/c I’m old, apparently. And the elliptical at my new gym totally moves differently than the one I’m used to from my NJ gym, working different muscles or something. My hip flexor is about as happy as Tiger Wood’s wife right now.

So I just walked a mile and then did arm weights. Srsly. I can feel my fat groWING!
But I don’t let a little fat stop me from enjoying a dinner based around butter! Welcome to my new house, delicious Linguine with Clam Sauce!
Wanna know something? When I make pasta, I have an urge to cook while sipping a glass of wine. I’m like a Pavlov dog. I hear the dried linguine shifting in its brown paper box, and I go straight for the vino.
I think this is weird. Yet fun.
Din last night…a little peek at prep and the final plate…
Hello Ugg boot!
- whole wheat linguine topped with clam sauce
- clam sauce = butter, white wine, a mountain of parsley, mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper
- we also had salad on the side, but it wasn’t feelin the camera
- and of course, the glass of red, a Cabernet Sauvignon by one of my favorite affordable Aussie brands…Yellowtail!
<——-totally not a wine snob
I will drink mostly any kind.
Except the berry wine my father-in-law’s neighbor makes (blech).
After Din clean-up, I did a little veggie roasting to help make tonight’s dinner snappier to make.
- cauliflower
- acorn squash
- carrots
- all tossed in EVOO and garlic and assorted other herbs
On deck for tonight’s dinner…homemade Thai curry with roasted veggies. And by homemade, I mean the Thai curry sauce that TJs sells in jars. It’s in my home. I will empty it into a pan and cook with it. Therefore, this, in Erin’s head, = homemade.
No??
Oh, p.s., thx for all your suggestions about yoga gear yesterday!!!
Erin Needs Yoga Clothes
Cuz this girl is hopped WAY up on the Yoga Downloads bandwagon! I had some financial stress enter my life last night, cuz, ya know, I’m living paycheck to paycheck, on 1 salary, during a recession….
Anyway. I was all worked up and decided to do yoga to calm down. I did:
- Hip Opening Flow #2
- Power Vinyasa Flow #4
…for a total of 40 minutes of glorious yoga-ness.
My goal, for December, is to incorporate yoga into my life at least 3 days per week. And in order to do that, girlfriend needz some new gear. I’m stuck with stuff that is years old and doesn’t barely fits. Hey. I’m 30. I’m a lot curvier than in my younger years.
So if y’all come across any great sales on yoga wear, please LET ME KNOW!
Breks today came with a giant dose of sunshine.
- overnight oats with maple PB + raisins + Equal Exchange pecans + raw cane sugar
- Coffee
- sunshine
This was a trial run. Does Erin like oatmeal any better than when she last ate it nearly a year ago?
Not so much.
I guess it’s a texture thing. I have issues putting mush in my mouth.
Does anyone want another sneak peek at our new place, all diddied up?
Last night, hubby and I played…
I form better words, but he’s great at capitalizing on the double word scores.
Bastahd.
He beat me by 3 points.
Before Scrabble and Yoga, we ate some Din!
- leftover strata on whole wheat toast (can I get a holla for xtra bread!)
- leftover turkey
- cheesy green beans
- my mother-in-law’s delicious apple sauce
And hey, be on the lookout for Erin’s Holiday Cheer because I seem to have lost it somewhere in our move.
