Break
Hi Friends.
IWITW is on a bit of a break.
The blogging gods have left the building and Erin is engulfed with FT work, life, family, friends, etc.
Hope to be back soon.

Holiday Beauty
Happy still-the-holidays blog peeps.
We spent the holidays at the in-laws home…pretty much a Thomas Kincaid painting. Perfect holiday beauty.
I started out with good intentions…
And even got an exercise run with Hilldawg.
Then. Then the food Began. Traditionally, the in-laws do fondue all.day.Christmas.eve. This means a cheese fondue for lunch. A meat fondue for dinner. Followed by a chocolate dessert fondue around 10pm.
The Cheese course…holy warm buckets of cheese!
Forgot to photo dinner.
The dessert!
Notice my husband is already eating whilst the rest of us civilized folks are simply passing the fruit (and marshmallows which are my fave part of dessert fondue). Beast, he is!
And with that, we hung out stockings by the chimney with care to await Santa and his tiny reindeer.
We awoke to pretty much a perfect White Christmas morn.
Santa wasn’t able to eat all his cookies that we left out, so I MAY have had to help eat them for first breakfast while we sipped coffee and opened gifts!
See…Santa had a BIG task ahead of him…poor fellow. No worry Santa, our crew took care of these delights…no prob.
Christmas lunch is a feast of appetizers because we all know apps are the BEST food on earth!
- salami, turkey kielbasa, 3 different sliced cheeses
- crackers of all kinds
- dried beef dip
- reuban dip
- shrimp butter
- spinach artichoke dip
- brie cheese, goat cheese
- hummus
- brushetta
How fun!
Oh, and our family is supa fun. And we drink.
My particular for this pic was vodka and club soda with fresh lime. In a kickass cocktail glass from Australia.
Christmas Dinner Feast!
- locally, humanely raised beef (prime rib)
- sautéed mushrooms
- cheesy creamed potatoes (1 of my top 10 all-time favorite foods on this planet)
- steamed corn
- a Mondavi pinot noir to drink
After dinner we played Scattergories. Naturally. I won.
<——-Capricorn and VERY competitive
The next day I forgot to take pics, but it was equally full of food and fun.
Puzzles! We also love doing puzzles over the holidays. Something challenging yet relaxing about it.
As you can see, my sis and her hubby are up above. They joined us for Christmas at the in-laws too. I was SO thrilled to have them there with me. My two families, one happy holiday. Love.
I tried to redeem myself with another healthy breks the next morning.
A very merry Christmas. But this woman is happy to look forward to the upcoming new year, and all the fun it has in store for us.
Hope y’all are well.

Announcement
Blog friends, the day is here that I can finally announce what’s going on in the IWITW household!
We are moving to Pennsylvania!!
Harrisburg, to be more precise!
And to top that off, I have been offered and have accepted a new job (hence the drug test)!!!
Hubz and I are really excited for this life change!
We both grew up in PA and have realized that we miss our home state. Hubz has been in NJ for 5+ years and I’ve been here for about 3.5. That is quite long enough.
In this economy I feel very fortunate to have been offered a Very Good job. And we have found a very lovely apartment that is more like a brand new condo. I cannot wait to share pictures!
Best of all, we’ll be back in the same state as our families and lots of our old friends! And some new friends too!
I have 2 weeks left at my current job and then we’re off!
If you can’t tell (by my overuse of exclamation marks) I am VERY EXCITED!
Watch out PA…we’re heading home.
Breks and a sunrise this morning!
- strawberry smoothie
- pretty sunrise
Last night Hubz and I squeezed in 25 minutes at the gym (lite cardio and arm weights) before dinner and some packing.
Din was great…leftovers!
- leftover honey mustard turkey tenders
- stuffing
- salad (to which I added that corn on my plate)
- glass of celebratory Sauv blanc
Dad got to our place around 9pm and it was fun getting to spend a few hours with him! I think he’s swinging back thru our town tomorrow evening for dinner. Yay!
Ok, this excited gal needs to work.
Ciao!
Erin
P.S. 8 days until my sister’s WEDDING!!!
