Giveaway Time

Alrighty kids, it’s time.

I Walk In This World is hosting a fabulous GIVEAWAY.

The mega awesome people at Dr. Kracker have paired with me to host this giveaway.

Dr. Kracker products are advertised as 100% natural and certified by the USDA as organic.  They bake with whole grains, seeds, and none of their crackers contain trans fats.  The history of their company has its roots in a desire to provide European-style, nutritional, artisan flatbreads and snack crackers to the U.S.

 What I’ve got…

Culinary Crisps Promo

10 prizes for my blog reader friends!

Each of the 10 winners will receive a 4-pack of the brand spanking new Culinary Crisps.  This has a $20 in-store retail value.  From their website…

Customers are asking for more “foodie” flavors. The Culinary Crisps respond to this request by taking our basic whole grain base — either wheat or spelt — and adding exciting food pairings. Sundried tomatoes and black sesame seeds with a dot of chile in the Fire Roasted; Apples and cane sugar with an oat and flax topping in the Apple Crisp, with an unmistakable caramelized flavor from the long, slow bake; and sour cherries, golden semolina and a touch of fennel in the Cherry Semolina. All can be enjoyed as they are or make a delicious combo with a variety of cheeses, dips and spreads. They celebrate food!

What to do to enter the contest:

  1. Leave a comment here explaining why whole foods are important to you.  I will award an extra entry to anyone with humor or creativity in their comment!
  2. Link back from your blog, to this contest, to earn an extra entry.

The contest will run for 1 week due to the HIGH number of prizes we’re giving away.  The contest ends at 8pm EST next Thursday, May 14th.

10 winners means HEAPS of chances for you to win.

Good luck!

    K says:

Whole foods are important to me because I’d be hungry if I only had half of a food.

HOWEVER, in serious business, if I eat “non whole foods” I can feel how my body reacts and it’s just nicht gut.

    What a fun giveaway!!

    Elizabeth says:

I spent a lot of my life eating fake food, because I thought it was convenient. And I guess it was pretty easy to be 50 pounds overweight.

I busted my ass to get healthy - and whole foods have been the key for my weight maintainence. I don’t feel deprived at all when I eat real foods (and I have so much more energy fueling my workouts).

But I *will* feel deprived if I don’t win those fabulous sounding crisps!! You don’t want that guilt sitting on your shoulders do you? ;)

Darn it! That whole lack of creativity thing always bites me in the bum.

There are the typical answers, gives me energy, better for me and the environment, but in all honesty, I have always loved whole foods for the taste! Even when I was a tot I refused Wonder bread and would only eat the heartiest bread and crackers available in our house. What can I say, I am a bit “crunchy” by nature.

Whole foods are the natural form of food (redundant maybe but so true), it’s good for our body to eat natural, simple and by eating these we improve overall healthy and also feeling good in our mind because we know we’re taking care of ourselves. :)

    Melanie says:

Whole foods are important to me because of how helpful they are in lowering my blood pressure naturally. Anything that keeps me off extra meds is a good thing. And, for me at least, things with ingredients that I can pronounce usually produce less stinky farts. Come on, you know what I’m talking about….who hasn’t had sugar free chocolate and then cleared out a room later???

I’ll also link back to your post on my blog:)

I used to be a fast food, fried chicken addict. Then I started paying attention after college to what I was eating. Ever since I cut out grease and started eating fresh produce as the base of my meals, the difference has been night and day. I feel so much better and can’t believe how lousy I feel if I do have a little bit now. Whole foods are the only way to go.

    Michele P. says:

I have never been a healthy eater, and after eating fried, processed foods I feel like crap. sure, it tastes good-but after years of eating that way my body seems to be telling me it’s time for a change. I don’t expect to change overnight of course, but I try doing it in little ways-incorporating whole and healthy foods into my diet. When I was younger, these types of foods often tasted like the cardboard they were packaged in. Now, it is almost as though a revolution has taken place and these foods are popping with nutrients and bursting with flavor as well. I would love to have the chance to try these munchies-I love crackers and think a tasty, healthy snack would be a wonderful treat!

I have pretty serious headache issues- wherein it’s easier for me to count the days in a month where I didn’t have a migraine and/or cluster headache… ouch!

I know that the closer my food is to nature and the more whole foods I eat- organic fruits and veg, sprouted grains, oats, quinoa, etc. the better I feel. When I really focus on me and eat solely whole foods I achieve greater balance between headache days and normal days.

Conveniently enough, since I’m his food source right now, whatever I eat, the kiddo eats. So, it’s super important to me to make sure he’s getting as much good stuff as possible (with a little bit of wine thrown in there too - hey, maybe it will help him sleep a little better? A mom can dream, right!)
