Is that a tongue on my placemat

The Husband Made Dinner Tonight!!!!!!

Momentous occassions such as this deserve multiple exclamation points, so please forgive my overusage of them. Normally I hate that.
Dinner was…
- Trader Joes black bean & veggie burrito
- Fresh avocado & cheese
- “The Husband’s” Mexican Hashed Potatoes (recipe to remain secret)
What a delightful meal! Fresh avocado is so good. I have to rat out the husband though, b/c half way thru dinner he asked me if you can COOK with avocado. I said no. And giggled. And checked my meal for signs of mushed cooked avocado. He’s dear. I listened to my tummy again, and stopped eating halfway thru my plate. I could easily have finished it off. Eaz-A-Lee. But I am trying to be a good little intuitive eater.
Of course, it took me about 20 mins to clean up the cooking pots/pans and dishes. He’s, ahem, not a very tidy cook. Imagine splashed salsa speckles ALL OVER my stove, and you’re just getting a glimpse…
Exercise tonight was of the yoga variety, 40mins power yoga during which I again posit that pigeon pose is my favorite.
Oh, and! I held Crow pose for 3 seconds. This is really hard. I rock.
Hey.
What IS that thing…

Raise your hand if you think that’s a dried tongue (or wet tongue, either way is fine)? Can anyone guess what that thing really is? The rest of my afternoon snack was half a Chobani yogurt over which I crumbled 1/3 that coconut cream pie Larabar.
Must.continue.updating.info.about.tomorrow’s auction.
Nite!

Ashley says:The leaving the kitchen a mess part sounds VERY familiar. I think men who ocassionally pick up cooking duties don’t realise that cleaning up after themselves is also required?
But great to hear that dinner was yummy! And the intuitive eating seems to be going really well for you. Has it been hard at all?
…I was gonna say beef jerky. FAIL.

Taryn says:Salsa splatters on the stove? This sounds VERY familiar! But I’m always happy to do the dishes if Nathan cooks. In fact, I would offer to do dishes every night if he took over cooking duties for good. I wish!

Elizabeth says:A messy stove is a small price to pay for a delish meal like that! Good hubby!! When can I come over?
