Sandpaper eyes
My poor Hubz. He’s trying to talk to me about his work and I’m so tired from lack of sleep (fecking insomnia) that my brain won’t latch on to much of what he’s saying. He’s now left me here at the dining room table to type my blog and he’s in the bedroom singing OUR song to Hillary, which I’m not really going to go into right now. It’s a little TOO cute and cheesy for blog world.

Hill’s going in for the kill (i.e., kisses). Gah, what’s with her crazy eyes, kinda?

Oh. Now Hubz is seeing if she wants to smell his socks. And now his undershirt. And now the clean socks he’s putting on to go to the gym.
Question.
Why are men weird? Cute and stuff. But weird.
What weird things do your men (or you Men) do??
Din tonight was BBQ Chicken + White Beans. I give all caps b/c it was That Good. Moreish as Hubz says.

- bbq chicken + white beans on Marathon bread
- half a yam + yogurt butter
- salad + spinach + cukes + maters+ carrot + cherries + goat cheese + lf rasp.walnut dressing
This din was kinda like comfort food. And it took about 2.5 mins to prepare. Which is good when I’m too tired to remember where chit is in the kitchen.
I didn’t run today to protect the shins but did 30 hard mins on the elliptical + 150 crunches.
I wanna take another min to thank everyone for all the good tips about shin splints from last night/this morning. Esp advice from my friend Ken. Wow, Ken. Downward dog et al. Brilliant. Totally stretches out the calves/shins. Thanks man.
Well. I guess I’m only taking 25 secs to thank everyone, but you know…
What was I saying?
(I just felt like putting that in there)
By all that is saintly, karmic, kind, good, and pure, if I don’t get some sleep tonight I’m gonna lose it.
Nite (I hope).

Graze With Me says:Oh yes, weird men…
My fiance has a few quirks: he randomly sings commercial theme songs (Expedia….dot commmmmmm, tacojohns!). He also talks to himself constantly. So when I’m in the house, (I have great hearing) I always say “What was that?” and he gets all weirded out because he thought noone else could hear him. Oh and he also has no idea who anyone is (think celebrities), the only name he could possibly recognize is Vin Diesel because I told him I would leave him for Vin if I ever got the opportunity.

Ashley says:LOL… your hubz is funny. I think men, in general, are easily amused. It’s kind of nice.
The sandwhich filling looks great - loving the bbq chicken and white beans. I’ll need to check out Ken’s comment RE shin splints. I’m excited about the prospect of stretching! Sweet, sweet relief..

Lara (Thinspired) says:I hope you can catch up on some sleep tonight, Erin! I suffered from insomnia pretty bad in college. Have you tried any sleep aids? There are some natural ones like melatonin or valerian root that sometimes help.
Hope you’re resting up!

Mel says:Awww, hope sleep comes easy for you soon!
My boyfriend loves to grow these odd facial hairstyles, ones that he knows I am going to hate, because he thinks it’s hilarious. He also sings Xmas songs all year long.

Rose says:I love your hair in those first pics!
My bf uses a voice around me that he doesn’t use around anyone else. It’s really strange - because we go out with friends and he seems completely different because he’s quieter and not being a goof. Hearing him say my various nicknames in that voice kills me.

maeve says:Mel,
My DF *whistles* christmas songs all year round! We’ll be at the beach in July and he’ll be whistling “walkin’ in a winter wonderland.” WTF! He also insists on throwing plastic water/vitamin water bottles every time he finishes one. He’ll just throw it randomly across the room and let it bounce & roll to wherever it rests. I don’t know why he can’t just place it on the table. At least he picks them up, I guess!
