Hi blog friends.
I need to ask y’all to send out a prayer into the universe please. Atheists, agnostics, and religious folks are all welcome. I ask b/c of some sad news I heard today, about a family friend. If y’all could just send some healing vibes out into the reaches of this world, I’d very much appreciate it.
My eats today so far.
Breks…
- smoothie with
+ half a
- ice
- vanilla almond milk
- a splash of POM
- and half of this Nature’s Path pomegranate pop tart thing.
OK, this was a fun addition to my morning eats, I gotta say!
Lunch…
- veggie burger + american cheese in a ww wrap
- cukes, spinach, tomato
- a few Kashi crackers (asiago)
- sliced Gala apple with Jed’s Maple Mudd Maple Peanut Butter (from my trip to VT earlier this year)
Hubz and I have a busy evening awaiting us (dog park, gym, make dinner, do some other yet-to-be-announced stuff), and a quick surprise visit from my Dad! He’s traveling past our house on the way to an event this weekend, and is staying with us tonight. Always great to have family stay over, especially since he lives 3+ hours away.
So. Here’s to a sunnier Friday than today.

Your Daily Dose
Today was a hard day. Period. So once again, I am keeping this short-ish and w/o much wit.

Morning on the balcony. Does anyone see that she took her birthday toy OUTSIDE WITH her?!?!
And. Yes. There might have been some salsa dancing across the living room when I got home from work.
I know it’s hard to leave those pics behind, but here’s lunch…
- ham + American + lettuce on whole wheat bread AKA BORING LUNCH
- carrots and gahlick hummus
- cherries a plenty
- a fun bag of TLC country cheddar crackers
Mixin it up at Breks today. It was ALL about the blue.
- Nature’s Path Optimum Slim (my fav type b/c it reminds me of Chex)
- unsweetened coconut
- blueberries
- skim milk from Organic Valley
Ok. I gotta find my vino glass and eat some curry. Dinner pics later or sometime Thursday. Oh yeah, I rocked out an hour long circuit in the gym. Yay.

Din last night was a newbie in the house. I didn’t like it.

The good part of dinner!

- ginorm salad which was fabulous…holla goat cheese!
- crockpot ranch turkey + potatoes (packet of ranch, ff cream of celery, turkey, 2 potatoes)
Wayyyyyy too salty. Blech. I was not a fan. Hubz loved it, of course. IMO, it tasted like something I’d eat in a cheap diner. A Today’s Special if you will.

The International version is my fave. I just NEED to know where people get their budgets for these places!
Exercise was a bit stupid on my part. But as you’ll learn as you get to know me, I’m the world’s most impatient person. Now that my ankle can at least bear weight, I have no more patience for resting and letting it heal. I am sure this will prolong my recovery (who knew a sprain was such a pain in the ass). But I am sick of lifting dumbells. I.need.cardio. I get antsy if too much time goes by w/o my cardio. It’s my release at the end of the work day. I needz it!
Work is crazy. What else can I say.
Lunch was had, by myself, outside. I very much enjoyed it! I only got halfway thru it, tho, before dashing inside to escape the looming thunderheads.



- Wegman’s whole wheat bread + Applegate Farms ham + American chaqueasy + dijon
- babied carrot
- Dr. Krackers apple crisps (these are so tasty!)
- Musselman’s applesauce (I feel like an elementary school kid eating this)
Work. Work. Email my sister’s bridesmaids about wedding shower planning. Work. Work.

- banana smoothie + 5 slices peach with a dash of chocolate smoothie powder (don’t ask what’s in it)
- tiny bowl of Nature’s Path pumpkin raisin crunch + Kashi cinnamon squares + dried pomegranate + coconut + skim milk

On my commute home Monday, I decided to snap pics. I do not have a nice commute. NJ is the most congested state in the Union…By Far. This is what most of my drive home is like:

At last…home sweet home!

Din last night was one of our household faves…crockpot curried lentils. Hubz ate his with jasmine rice. I had a brown rice but tried to keep my focus on the loveliness of the lentils instead.


- curried lentils + green beans + peppers + mushrooms on a bed of spinach
- half a piece of whole wheat Naan with yogurt butter
- brown rice
- water
Is it a little crazy that I am over the moon with this meal?!
I’m finally healthy enough to squeeze some exercise into my life again. I was curious to see if my WO clothing even fit anymore. I know it’s only been 2 weeks away, but I feel like it’s been AGES. So I decided to take the sleasy route and heave-ho onto the elliptical. Just a mere 20mins since my ankle is still healing. Complimented by curls, dips, pushups etc.
Since I’m badass, it really only makes sense that while my Civic is getting her booty put back together at the repair shop, my rental car would be…

Slammin.
Since Monday normally = sucktastic, I was suprised that work actually moved along at a nice and sane pace for moi. Later in the day I had this….

- ginorm stawberries likely suffering from growth-hormone enduced enlargement (cry)

At our staff meeting this morning it was announced that it’s still uncertain whether or not we will be taking unpaid work days during Fiscal Year 2010. That starts Jul 1. We should know soon. I don’t expect good news.
Breks was a total rush job, per my usual pace.


- teeny bowl of Nature’s Path pumpkin raisin crunch + handful of TJs cinnamon squares + skim milk
- peach + banana smoothie (ice, yogurt, peaches, half a banana)
That Breks kept me full til 12:30pm. Usually I need a mid-morning snick or a coffee to tide me over.
