Track suit
Hi kids.
I have a question.
Are track suits still cool? Honestly?
I saw A Lady today wearing a baby pink track suit (ignore the fact that I saw her walking alongside the road on my drive to work). And my first thought was “wow, track suits are still in.”
My second thought quickly followed “maybe I shouldn’t judge what’s in style by Crazy Old Lady walking on the road in a pink track suit.”
So I ask you. Are track suits still cool or have they gone the way of “The Rachel” hair cut, baby-doll dresses, and Dooney & Burke monogrammed letter bags?
Whilst you ponder…
I really shook things up with Lunch today. Everyone hold on to your asses.

On Mr. Stripey…
- “crack wrap” filled with hummus + half a slice of American chz + 1 piece of smoked bbq tempeh + 1 slice of turkey
- half an organic carrot
- more deliciouso bargain barrel berries
- Allison’s fudge and half of Beth’s brownie (drool)
Only time will tell if that crack wrap holds me over til afternoon yogurt. It’s def lower on the whole grains composite than my normal grainy breads. But I gotta keep life inneresting.
This morning was filled with writing, thinking, saving the earth NJ. All in a day’s work.
Breks this morning was proudly eaten IN my home as opposed to in my car on the drive to work.
*gives self a gold star*

At the table…
- earthy bowl of Nature’s Path Optimum Slim + Kashi cinnamon squares + blueberries + coconut + half banana + skim milk
- COFFEE (drunk in the car)
I’ll be announcing my upcoming Giveaway soon! For a sneak peek, check out Dr. Kracker’s website and start drooling.

Run Sarah says:Hmm, not too sure about track suits, I think the last time I wore my polyester Adidas one was grade 6!

Sarah (lovINmytummy) says:I just started to write a comment, and then thought, “Hell, YODA!” He’s behind the fruit bowl and I’m first! Suckas!
I think velour track suits are out, but old school Adidas track suits are in…especially when worn by adorable children (i.e. GG and Livy).
Crack is not known for its longevity, but more for the immediate satisfaction. I deal. Literally.

Sarah (lovINmytummy) says:Cripes, now I see that I’m second. That’s what I get for wasting time talking shiznit.

I didn’t really think track suits were ever “in”. But I’m no fashionista.

katiek436 says:oh my this was a tricky one! He barely is peaking out from behind the bowl. I think athletic looking track suits are alright, im not so sure of velor though.

K says:Mmm crack and fudge! I spy Yoda in the first picture behind the fruit bowl.
Oh track suits…I only wear them to bed and that’s if I’m low on laundry. By the way, my closet is bursting with D&Bs that haven’t been used since I was in high school. Gotta love trends!

Liz (ready.to.lose.lbs) says:I see Yoda trying to sneak into your berry bowl in the first pic.
And I’m not sure that track suits are really “in”. Do some middle aged women wear them? Yes. That doesn’t mean they should.

Rebeca says:That bowl of fruit looks yummy… and Yoda’s hiding behind it!
I want your lunch… just send it to my classroom

Alisa - Frugal Foodie says:Ooh, not the person to ask on the track suits; though I don’t own any myself. As a gift to my husband; they aren’t the most flattering things you know!
You are making me hungry!

Jo @ Seeking Healthy Balance says:I would definately say NO to the tracksuit question!!
I love that bowl that you used for breakfast. Doesn’t it make a difference to eat out of cute dishes….

Danielle says:I see yoda in the first picture!
I’m going to say track suits are not in anymore as I haven’t seen anyone wearing one anytime recently.

Marianne says:Tracksuits eh? I think they are only acceptable for sport events, where you have to wear them. And even then, they are pretty passe.
I see a Yoda hiding behind the fruit in lunch photo 1!

Ashley says:Track suits have a time and a place where they are acceptable:
Not acceptable - a bright hot pink tracksuit with matching ugg boots to uni. There’s a girl who wears this elegant cobination 3 times a week. I’m not sure if it’s the same tracksuit, or she has more than one pair.
Acceptable - at home, maybe popping out to the shops (MAYBE), but generally AWAY from public view.
Nice crack wrap for lunch
Salmon sounds like a nice addition.
Also.. I appreciated your response to my thread. I think I’m a realist too. What’s wrong with admitting the world sometimes sucks? I’m just being honest.

TorontoGirloutWest says:Ahahahah - this post cracked me up! All while I was hanging on to my ass too!

Lara (Thinspired) says:Oh man, I am not a fashionista so I don’t know. I have a couple Juicy ones that I sometimes wear separately–th sweatshirt with jeans or the bottoms with a t-shirt around the house. I think that’s ok. Not sure about pink velour anyway
Maybe I’ll have to bulk it up more next time.
As delicious as crack wraps are, I’m finding they aren’t holding my over that well, either
