I Walk In This World

Healthy eats, often with a side of snark

Morning kids.

I can’t even talk about the weather anymore.

Let’s talk about something else.  Like…my new hair cut.

Before…

Afta…

Cute.

Let’s also talk about all the websites that are offering FREE shipping this week for online purchases (due to Mother’s Day coming up).  If anyone needs to shop (cuz who doesn’t?), now is the time.

Breks was great again, and shamefully eaten in my car.  Eh.  Whatever.

At the table…

  • whole grain mini bagel + fried eggwhites + kale/peppers/onions + half a piece of American cheese + HOT sauce
  • nearing the end of my bargain barrel berries

I think the kale makes a supa addition to my fried eggwhites.  The sharp flavor compliments the essentially flavorless eggwhite.  I also season with fiery chili pepper blend.  What can I say…I like it hot.

The hair cut took up way too much of my evening last night, so I only had time for 25mins of yoga with Rodney Yee.  I decided that he moves thru the poses too quickly.

Does anyone have good at-home yoga practices I could try (dvd, etc)?

LOST last night was a doozy and I cannot WAIT for the season finale next week.  I think this year’s epis have been outstanding!  Oh look, an exclamation point.

I had a tiny snack for LOST.

  • Food Should Taste Good tortilla chip things
  • 40-spice hummus
  • teeny glass of red wine (not pictured)

Honestly, there’s something strange about those tortilla chips.  A strange consistency and a bit of an odd flavor that hits you at the end of each bite.  I can honestly say I’m not such a fan.  Maybe their other flavors are better?

Din last night was terrif.  Curried lentils, which is like crack to me.  I can’t believe I managed to *just* eat what was on my plate and not go back for 2nds.

On the wedding gift plates…

  • curried lentils with mushrooms + kale + peppers + onions
  • half a piece of whole wheat Naan
  • steamed broccoli with sea salt
  • water to drink

The husband calls this kind of dinner “more-ish” in that he must have MORE of it.

Stay tuned for the GIVEAWAY announcement coming later today!

I miss LOST so much. I haven’t seen it in ages because I like to watch it with the hubs and he was working late a lot so we missed a few epis. And we haven’t had time to catch up again. *pout*

I saw the preview for last night’s epi and OMG…I can’t even imagine how much I’ve missed!

I have some Rodney Yee DVDs and I can tell you based on my experience he’ll move varying rates of speed depending on the workout. Some are way too speedy for my liking but others are just right.

I’ve heard Yoga Burn is particularly well known as one where Rodney holds the poses for a long time. :)
